Class Descriptions
Armchair Aerobics: This class meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00am in the Gym. The video used for this class last about 45 minutes. It is designed for all fitness levels.
Fitness Aerobics: This class meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00am in the Gym. You must have a doctor's approval for this class, as it is high impact. You can get the form in the office. This class is led by a certified instructor, Marion Posey.
Beginning Line Dance: This class is taught on Thursdays at 12:30pm in the Gym. Newcomers are welcome at any time! Karen Alexander is the instructor.
Advanced Line Dance: This class is held every Monday at 1:30pm in the Gym. It is great exercise and is geared to those with some line dance experience. Karen Alexander is the instructor.
Strength & Stretch: This is a low-impact and joint-friendly class that meets every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00-9:00am in the Gym. Designed by our very own Dr. Betty Rose Railey, this class is led by Myrtle Wyatt.
Basketball: Meets in the Gym every Tuesday morning at 9:00am to shoot some hoops, play Around the World, H.O.R.S.E., and Free-Throw Shooting games. Brownie Jones is the coordinator.
Yoga: Meets each Monday, Wednesday, & Friday at 8:30am in the Kelleher Room. Bring your own yoga mat. All other equipment is provided.
Ping Pong: This group plays every Tuesday at 12:30pm in the Gym. Dan Cunningham is the organizer of this activity, and says "All are welcome!"
Zumba Gold Toning: This class is held on Fridays at 12:30pm in the Gym. The class is lead by certified instructor, Janice Thomason.
Corn Hole Tournaments: These tournaments are held weekly in the Gym. This is a mildly competitive tournament that usually lasts up to an hour and a half which always proves to be fun. Check our monthly calendar/ newsletter for tournament dates.
