Our Volunteers
The Murray-Calloway County Senior Citizens Center relies heavily on its volunteer support to help provide services. Without the assistance of these fantastic individuals this nonprofit would not be able to offer the amount or quality of services it currently provides to the senior citizens within the area. Our volunteers come from all walks of life including: participating seniors, Murray State University students, mothers in the K-TAP program, as well as other community members of Murray. We at the Senior Citizens Center cannot express how much we appreciate the efforts put forward by these individuals to make the Center a truly spectacular place for the seniors within our community. Thank you to all of our volunteers! Your time and efforts for this organization are recognized and greatly appreciated every single day.
Volunteering Information
We have a number of opportunities for volunteers here at the Murray-Calloway County Senior Citizens Center including, but not limited to the following: Office hands, special event assistants, telephone reassurance callers, receptionists, Meals on Wheels Drivers, kitchen aids, support group facilitators, interns, and class instructors. If you have a specific interest that was not listed please ask us because we are flexible to work with you! Our special events change month to month, so come see what is happening or check out our "Events" page under the "Services" tab. If you are a student interested in an internship here at our Center, we take internship applications from current students with relevant courses of study for summer, semester, or year-long internships. Please come share your time and talents with the seniors here at the Murray-Calloway County Senior Citizens Center!

Volunteer Appreciation
Each year in the spring we host a Volunteer Appreciation Banquet for our wonderful volunteers at the Senior Citizens Center. We are so thankful for all of their donated time and talents, and we at the Center hope that each individual knows how much their efforts make a difference in the lives of the seniors here in our community. The Murray-Calloway County Senior Citizens Center would not be able to offer the amount or quality of services it does today without the help of these spectacular volunteers. Thank you again to all of our volunteers!
